Project Tour: American Reading Company
In late 2019, American Reading Company was rapidly outgrowing its base of operations and turned to Re:Vision Architecture to assess the property at 480 Norristown Road as a potential new location. Originally built in 1967, the site included a three-story office building and a large, single-story warehouse, previously divided into multiple tenant spaces.
TCI joined the project as the construction partner, overseeing the entire construction process. In summer 2020, Phase One began with the removal of partitions from the warehouse, creating a single open space to house American Reading Company's operations team. Phase Two involved creating additional support spaces for the warehouse staff and designing office areas to reintroduce the operations team into the building. TCI’s meticulous attention to detail ensured a seamless transition between phases, allowing for uninterrupted operations. By 2022, Phase Three commenced, focusing on renovating the three-story office building and removing barriers that previously separated the office space from the warehouse. Sustainability, a crucial facet of the project, has the facility achieving LEED Gold.
Today, with the staff returning to the office, TCI’s efforts have resulted in a fully unified facility where the office and warehouse spaces are visually and physically connected, fostering collaboration across departments within American Reading Company.
Come join us for a tour and networking in this amazing newly renovated building!
