President's Message - December 2023
Dear Members and Supporters of CREW Greater Philadelphia,
At the outset of this year, a fellow member wished that this year would change me in unexpected and wonderful ways, and I stand before you today, moved by the incredible transformations this year has brought. The year has taught me patience, empathy, and grace. The connections I have forged this year within CREW Greater Philadelphia have not only strengthened my career but have created lasting friendships and partnerships.
We began by implementing a new 5-year strategic plan for the chapter, and it's astonishing to realize that the programming year has already culminated with our Holiday Party, where we celebrated the outstanding achievements of our members through our chapter awards. These awards are a testament to our commitment to elevate each other within CREW Greater Philadelphia, fostering an environment where success is not just applauded but also celebrated.
There were so many volunteers doing so much this year, a few of the 2023 highlights are following.
Leadership and Forward Momentum:
CREW Greater Philadelphia provides numerous opportunities to take an active role in our organization. Whether you are interested in joining a committee or seeking a leadership role, we encourage you to get involved and make a difference in our chapter. Our 2024 President, Dina Miller, brings forth initiatives and ideas poised to build on our successes, leading us through what might prove to be challenging times ahead. We will continue to offer leadership training in the coming year to help prepare our members for continued success as leaders in CRE. I am confident in the capable hands that will guide us in the coming years.
Networking and connections:
Our endeavors in fostering meaningful connections bore fruit this year, especially during the Annual Luncheon, which brought together over 500 attendees! These platforms remain instrumental in sparking ideas, fostering partnerships, and propelling collective success.
Membership Milestones:
Our chapter's growth is not merely a statistic; it's a reflection of the thriving community we've built. The close of 2023 has seen our most significant influx of members ever recorded, enriching us with diverse backgrounds and expertise. Remember, CREW Greater Philadelphia stands as a proud founding chapter of the global CREW Network, and next year marks our 40th anniversary, a testament to our enduring commitment to excellence! Stay tuned for exciting things to come!
Community Commitment:
Our commitment to giving back to the community remains strong. Our annual luncheon enables us to provide scholarships for deserving women studying fields related to CRE, both on a local and national level. We also use the proceeds to partner with schools and organizations that forward our mission. This year our partners were Christo Rey of Philadelphia, La Salle Academy, and ACE Greater Philadelphia. These collective efforts truly demonstrate the power of our organization to effect positive change.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Board, Committee Chairs, volunteers, and every individual whose dedication has fueled the success of CREW Greater Philadelphia. Your contributions have made this year one of growth, collaboration, and unparalleled achievements. My wish is that everyone involved in CREW Greater Philadelphia will also experience unexpected and wonderful changes also.
